USJETAA: The Religion of Anime
Join USJETAA and Dr. Jolyon Thomas, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, for a fascinating deep dive into anime’s cultural roots, emotional impact, and the almost “religious” devotion it inspires among fans. Featuring special guests Yuri Lowenthal (Shiga, 1993-1995) and Roland Kelts (Osaka, 1998-1999). Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just curious about anime’s global appeal, this discussion promises insight, reflection, and plenty of heart.

USJETAA Event: October’s Ouchigohan: Onigiri Action Halloween Bash!
This October, USJETAA is excited to host our very first おうちごはん OUCHIGOHAN cooking class! What better way to kick off the fall season than by making Halloween-decorated onigiri along with two other comforting Japanese dishes, cozy kabocha soup and a healthy spinach ohitashi. This family-friendly online class gives you the chance to cook along from your own kitchen or simply watch and enjoy.

Welcome back our recently returned JETs at our Welcome Back Taco Party event on Thursday, September 28th. Join us at Lake Monster Brewing (550 Vandalia St #160, St Paul, MN 55114) from 6:30pm.
JETAAMN will provide the tacos! And if you are a new JET, we will buy you a drink!
We ask that attendees bring a dish to share with the group -
