UPDATE:  We’re sorry folks, but due to the weather report for today; 2013 Harukai is cancelled due to intermittent thunderstorms. We are so disappointed to cancel it and really looked forward to celebrating spring with everyone! Strange spring so far. We hope third time’s the charm with the Harukai of 2014…..see you next year!

UPDATE: Hello all……IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Due to the postponement of the last date on 5/4/13 due to the inclement and cold weather, the new date is set for Tuesday, May 21st from 5:30 until sun down. Please see the original post with details below, but please substitute the new date and time:

Come one, come all! FAMILIES AND FRIENDS WELCOME! PLEASE BRING A DISH TO SHARE: If your last name ends in A-M, please bring a savory dish to share, if it ends in N-Z, please bring a dessert! Bring something to drink as well if you want. Do you have fun memories of Hanami parties in Japan? We do! Every spring, we hope to bring back the fun of a Harukai (our version of Hanami!) by pulling out the blue tarps and picnicking in a beautiful blooming park in the city. Everyone brings a scrumptious dish to share, games to play, and stories to share! We may not have the abundance of gorgeous cherry blossoms, but we sure do have Hanami spirit!
